Tutorial -simple and frugal upgrade to your kitchen wall

So I had decided to give my kitchen table some color and bought 
an oilcloth, in case one meter length was too short, I asked for 1.5 meters. When I came home and laid out that colorful piece on my table, I realized it was too big. Then an idea popped in my mind to use that extra and frame it!
Like this:

And that is how I did it:

You will need
Empty frame, measuring tools, cutting tools, cardboard, masking tape and oilcloth
Measure the frame, measure the cardboard and cut it, cover the cardboard piece with oilcloth and secure it on the back side of the cardboard, I've used masking tape, but it could be a stapler or hot glue gun. Insert covered cardboard into the frame.
And this is how it looks now
